One of my favorite parts of my job and truly such a continuous honor are the referrals that we continue to receive over our thirteen years. In this particular case, it brought us the sweetest family and the best mother-daughter duo, all thanks to one of our favorite bartending companies from early on in our career.
Kylie, in the early days of us planning her wedding graduated from nursing school, and moved to California with her fiance. So having a full service wedding planner, and designer was imperative for this mother-daughter duo, who would not be in the same state throughout the planning process. This would also be the first wedding they had planned in the family! Having couples trust us to take care of them in these types of scenarios is such an honor, and we love our mega planning dates and time together when everyone is in town, or the many zoom meetings we had, ha!
Kylie had a vision from the beginning of this beautiful, soft blue, classic wedding color to be incorporated. The question was just a matter of how much she wanted it to be seen, and then as the conversations grew over their long engagement, we were able to find fun and creative ways to make this feel more Spring and fresh. As the design flourished and changed, we were able to classify the blue as a true ballad blue, instead of a more classic dusty blue or periwinkle that you see all of the time. This, coupled with a more pear tone, lily white, and champagne made it feel very sophisticated and spring like. The other thing we knew we wanted from the very beginning was a ticking pattern – something very southern and very linen-pressed to feel sophisticated, but approachable. Making a decision to put the girls in mixed champagne and ivory tones made the event stand out against your average blue option, or even the becoming more popular white option. This gave us a little more depth, especially for the greens to pop. At the end of the day, we wanted it to be focused on neutrals, but with lots of soft and natural elements for an effortlessly classy look.
All in all, inspiring The Classy Edit: Verdant, Ivory, & Azure
We had the best team together to bring this day to life, F. Dellit always brings about the best working environment for clients and wedding planners, and it is always fun to see the fun ideas she comes up with. In this particular case, Boxwood Manor works in conjunction with EB Inc Event Rentals, for in house linens and boy, did we have some fun stuff to play with ,and even some new pieces we were able to pick including a custom piece by Kylie’s sweet Grandma, who made us our perfect ticking pattern after we chose a few options from a local shop. We were even able to use it on the back of our signs from LeLeLines. I promise it is worth the scroll!

Next place to bring in our beloved ticking pattern was the dance floor and 2bot Creation was able to get this worked out for us. The custom monogram was something that our amazing bride Kylie made on her own and we loved incorporating this into our effortlessly spring wedding. We were able to incorporate this into the bar as well! A classic but fun lambert vintage style wedding cake tied everything together from the fabulous Cakes by Gina.
My favorite detail by far has to be the seating chart, as this idea was with us from the start. Earlier on, I mentioned that Kylie had moved to California and fell in love with the place they would make their home. They were engaged at the Golden Gate Bridge and we knew that this part of thier love story had to be showcased on their wedding day. We loved the way the Golden Gate seating chart drawing came to life by LeLelines. As well as the vintage postcards dictating the guest tables complete with stamps with their favorite Californian destinations. These are the kind of details that people remember forever and that we love to be a part of.

Absolutely the best vendor team, I mean look how glamorous Kylie looks, as she always does, by Sunkissed and Made Up. The details all the way down to choosing every bridesmaid’s dress and even helping Mom pick out these favorite PJ’s that even brought about our favorite pattern.

The perfect tambourines, which is my second favorite part of the wedding day, that we had as wedding favors, complete with custom monogram and ticking, put entirely together by the best of the best Tina, our amazing lead assistant.
Nobody gets a dance floor going quite like Joe from J&A Entertainment, as you can see here with our bride and guests having the best time.
A tradition that I hope never goes away is wedding merch, seeing Kylie get excited to toss our custom embroidered hats with our wedding saying, “From Cali, with Love” was a focal point of the wedding day for me.

Fluffy head table full of laughs, and flowers all night long, as well as our intimate setting lamps, will be something that lives rent free in my head forever.

It is an honor to work with all of our couples, but Kylie and her sweet mom, Christina trusting me with each and every detail made me feel a part of their family, and excited for future times we can have cocktails together. (Kylie, I’ll keep helping you find cocktails that you like, ha!) Can’t wait for sisters wedding next 😉
Let’s not forget Beaux’s adorable moments throughout the wedding day, including the cake, and the bar details. I don’t think there is a cuter pup in the world. Maybe except Harvey.

Many thanks to the Loose Ends dream team!
